Swine Flu Spreads Panic Over The Web

(April 26, 2009 TechCrunch)

Earlier today, the U.S. declared a public health emergency over the Swine Flu, after confirming 20 cases of the flu spreading to humans in New York, Ohio, Kansas, Texas and California. More than 80 people have died in Mexico from the disease, which has potentially spread to other countries, including Canada and France. Although Federal officials are urging Americans not to panic about the disease, fear of contracting the potentially deadly flu is quickly spreading over Twitter, Google, and blogs across the web.

The panic concerning the swine flu is occurring on the Web.

I hear that the swine flu is the maximum topic in Twitter.

I hear that the appearance rate of the key word named Swine Flu in the blog article will have increased rapidly moreover.

I hear that the retrieval of the key word named Swine Flu will have increased according to Google Trends and.

I hear that Tamiflu and Relenza are effective for the swine flu according to the news of the television in Japan.

I hope the panic doesn’t extend.

オオカミとブタ。Stop motion with wolf and pig.

At first I photographed stop motion animation. And I displayed the photographs in my room and photographed it again. I used 1,300 printed pictures. Enjoy a connection with the world of the room and the world in the photograph.

Awesome!

(TechCrunch, April 6, 2009)

Information Architects has released the final beta for the fourth iteration of its awesome Web Trends Map series. This is a great visualization of current Internet trends, and how companies and individuals fit into it.

The picture that’s embedded above doesn’t do it justice in any way, so be sure to check out the full-sized image hosted on Flickr.

Very nice map!
