Yang Steps Down As Yahoo CEO, Search For Successor Begins(November 17, 2008 TechCrunch)

Expect Yahoo’s share price to jump tomorrow – Jerry Yang will be stepping down as CEO of the company, a job that he took on an interim basis in June 2007.

I think that the speed that Yahoo and Yang determine was slow.

I think the decrease in the image to be avoided a little more if new CEO is chosen earlier.

Even if he has the talent, the person has the role for the enterprise.

And, Yahoo should have had the necessity that had to be changed.

If the timing is missed, it is likely to become such a result.

Though it is a result theory at the current stage to the end.

AOL-Yahoo Merger Details Emerge; Deal Could Happen This Month(October 6, 2008 TechCrunch)

Yahoo is continuing its marathon merger discussions with AOL, sources close to the negotiations have whispered to us, and a deal could happen as early as this month.

There seems to be a possibility that the amalgamation of Yahoo and AOL is approved by the end of this month.

It is very interesting on what road straying Yahoo advances.

Speaking Of Competition, Google’s Search Market Share Just Went Up Again In August To 63%(September 18, 2008 TechCrunch)

Its share of U.S. search queries rose in August to 63 percent, from 61.9 percent in July.

Google has expanded the share of market further.

Yahoo’s share went down.

Microsoft has not extended the share either.

Does the monopoly of the search field by Google advance?

It is not possible to talk about the success of Yahoo Japan still without president Masayoshi Son.

It is sure not to succeed in this without his existence.

Online sales of iPhone 3G were begun in Japan.

How much person buys iPhone online?

Moreover, are on-line sales of iPhone done in the world?

It is interesting.

Yahoo Boss Is So Open, It Runs on Google’s App Engine

Yahoo Boss Is So Open, It Runs on Google’s App Engine(August 4, 2008 TechCrunch)

In a demonstration of just how open Yahoo search can be, one of its senior engineers has created a simple search mashup that combines Yahoo’s BOSS framework and Google’s App Engine. Yahoo BOSS allows developers to create their own customized search apps based on Yahoo’s search engine, and the Google App Engine is a platform for hosting apps.

Interesting approach.

Yahoo Boss might take a strategy more open, and there be a possibility that something different from Google can be done.

Having Won his Board Seats, Icahn Decides To Skip Yahoo Shareholder Meeting(July 31, 2008 TechCrunch)

Icahn finally obtained the board seat of Yahoo.

I hear that Icahn declared the absence of the shareholders’ meeting of the yahoo however.

Is this a harbinger in which something happens?
