GirlInYourShirt: $75 Buys Your Startup Marketing For A Day(November 13, 2008 TechCrunch)

I imagine more than a few startups will take Jenaé up on her offer to wear your startup shirt  and talk about your company for a day. It’s $75, and she posts videos on her site, YouTube, Seesmic and Viddler, posts pictures on Flickr and tweets about it all as well.

This is an interesting advertising business.

Up to now, an advertising business that handles such oneself has been heard by news etc.

Using and advertising various services that exist in the Internet seem to become fresh, very good advertising.

This advertising business will become popular to commodities and services related to the Internet Business.

Such an advertising business seems to appear at once also in Japan.

54 Hours To Build A Company: A Look At Startup Weekend Phoenix(October 21, 2008 TechCrunch)

It’s been some time since we last covered Startup Weekend , a series of events that bring a roomful of developers and entrepreneurs together to develop new startups in only 54 hours. When the program originally launched last year, each weekend was geared towards building a single application, of which every participating member was a cofounder.

I think that several business idea will arise in 54 hours.

However, it is surprise that they develop startup of an actual business in 54 hours.

When becoming such a situation, can I start up a new business in 54 hours?

It actually happens though a terrible title.

Work to think that only we were able to do was this work came to be outsourcing by making manual.

This tendency will accelerate more and more.

Then, white-collar in Japan that had done the work of administration and accounting up to now should do a different business.

The ability that white-collar in Japan is different from the situation to date comes to requested in the future, and work with high-value-added comes to be requested.

Such a day is already close.

Test Your Inner Sleuth With 5 Minute Mystery(October 20, 2008 TechCrunch)

Now entrepreneur Randy Okane is trying to bring the format back to life at his site 5MinuteMystery.com.
Every day the site posts a new mystery, followed by the solution the next day. At the end of the story is a menu asking who the reader thinks committed the crime. Users are also asked to highlight up to four statements in each story, indicating if they either Exonerate or Incriminate one of story’s characters. To help spice things up, the site keeps score for every member based on their accuracy, with the most ingenious detectives featured on the site’s leaderboard.
Unlike many mystery stories, which tend to be gruesome, 5MinuteMystery is being written to appeal to a younger audience. Crimes are gore-free, and tend to be written at an accessible reading level. The site charges $20 a year for a daily subscription, and offers a program for schools and charities who receive 50% of all subscriptions sold through their fundraising efforts. Prospective authors can also submit their own stories and will be paid if their stories are published.

This business is an interesting business.

Is such a site also in Japan?

I do not think that there is such a site as long as I know.

Because the novel that can be read with the cellular phone in Japan is popular, this site might be good for a mobile business.

When a little free time can be done, this site might just be good.

Parents do not worry if the content is made a story to consider young reading population either.

Moreover, it might be good all the more for this if becoming the capital to the school and the charity group.

In addition, it is likely to become a contest like a good gateway to success for the person who aims at the mystery writer.

It is likely to become a dream story that the prize is obtained and the road of the mystery writer of a real sect opens it to the most interesting mystery writer up to now if adopted.

If the idea of this site is taken, it seems to become a better site though such a site might already be also in Japan.

Monkey Business in Japan Video

Monkey Business in Japan (NTDTV-YouTube)

And now onto an unusual tip to fight off a business crisis. A Japanese tavern owner is bringing up a new generation of customer pleasing waiters: macaque monkeys. Are you ready for some monkey business?

This “sake house” in northern Tokyo employs two popular and unusual waiters. They are named Yat-chan and Fuku-chan (pronounced Yat-tchan and Fookoo-chan), and are a pair of Japanese macaque monkeys.

Four-year-old Fuku-chan has already two years of experience under his furry belt. His main duty is delivering hot towels to customers before they order their drinks. This is how 12 year-old Yat-chan learned the tricks of the trade.

It is a video of news of the monkey that works at the tavern in Japan.

As for the monkey that works at this tavern, the video contribution program of Japan is broadcast well.

Would Apple really shutter iTunes? Unlikely(September 30, 2008 CNET)

Fortune magazine published a bombshell of a story on Tuesday by reporting that Apple once threatened to close iTunes if forced to pay more for music royalties. A more careful reading of the statement from an Apple executive shows that it was more of a veiled threat. Regardless, it’s possible Apple could shut down iTunes.

Apple seemed that there is a possibility of closing iTunes if it raises the price of royalty of music.

It is natural that Apple makes remarks like this.

The purpose of the reason why the enterprise is doing the business is to turn out profit.

Therefore, if the profit cannot be obtained, it is natural that there is a possibility of ending the management of iTunes.

How do it become it when it raises the price of the music sold with iTunes?

If it raises the price of the music sold with iTunes, it is possible that the charm to the price is lost, the number of customers decreases, and the quantity sold decreases.

In a word, it is thought that sales of both Apple and the artist decrease by that.

In addition, the profit will decrease in the royalty as for Apple if it raises the price of the music.

Then, the meaning that does this business is lost.
