Google Introduces The YouTubevertorial

Still Searching For A Video Business Model, Google Introduces The YouTubevertorial(October 7, 2008 TechCrunch)

Now it is trying to squeeze more money out of the ads on its homepage and just today it introduced the YouTubevertorial. Starting with music and videogame partners, YouTube will begin inserting click-to-buy links below select videos. Right now, these affiliate links connect to iTunes and Amazon (see them at the bottom of the screenshot above?), but more are coming.

I hear that Google applied the link button for which music and the game can be bought with Amazon and iTunes to the animation of YouTube.

Does this attempt succeed though Google devises the method and the business model who turns out profit with YouTube?

The key in which this attempt succeeds is whether the growing number of companies participates.

  1. Google are evidently doing this to try and make some return on their $1.65billion investment, which they have to do struggled so far.

Another good reason for them to do it is that it might get some record labels off their back if they are actually driving sales to them instead of breaching copyright!
