Amazon Acquires Shelfari: Moves To Corner Book-Centric Social Networks (August 23, 2008 TechCrunch)

Shelfari , a social network for bibliophiles, has been acquired by Amazon for an undisclosed amount. Amazon has been a longtime supporter of the Seattle based startup, having invested $1 million in the site in February 2007.

Amazon purchased Abebooks recently.

Abebooks is a site where an unusual book and the old book are sold.

I hear that Amazon purchased a social network for the person who likes book this time.

Do you think that Amazon obtains all sites concerning the book?
