The iPhone already gets a new pricing plan in Japan(August 5, 2008 CrunchGear)

Just three and a half weeks passed since the iPhone 3G became available in Japan and Softbank, the phone’s carrier in this country, already made major changes to the domestic pricing plan.
Although the Japanese data plans were quite reasonable in comparison with other smartphones, Softbank today issued a press release (in English) in which the company announced a quite significant price drop. From this month on, iPhone owners in Japan will be charged a minimum of $27 per month, down from a monthly minimum of $72.

Why was the charge for the iPhone use cut of the price in Japan?

According to news,I hear that Masayoshi Son who is the president of Softbank is talking about the guest’s reaction to iPhone more than the expectation, and to be able to start well.

Did the price cut of the charge for the iPhone use by Softbank to be do so that more people might use it?

Or, will it be a strategy for the propping up done because the number of users is little?

I do not understand this if not seeing how things go for a while.

  1. I looked at a i phone today at Softbank

At a price of +80000 Yen for a 16GB model
It took about one seccond to say no thanks and walk out of Softbank.

This is unusual I walked in ready to buy. You can say I was a 100% prospect
I have an Apple Mac Pro and Mobile me. And yes I did buy it in Japan

Look on the web all over the world the 16GB iphone is 299$ in Japan it is 800$

It is a shame Softbank are allowed to manopolize the sale of iphone in Japan
