By using some fairly interesting IMEI collection, the folks at Mac Observer have found that Apple sold 10 million iPhones in 2008, reaching and potentially surpassing Steve’s original stated goal. By looking at phones sold over the last few months, Mac Observer’s “Apple Finance Board” found that the phone has gone through nine 1 million unit runs. Adding this to the known sales they found the total number was far above analyst expectations.
I hear that numbers of sales for iPhone achieved 10 million.
IPhone seems to have expanded gradually worldwide though it doesn’t get into the news in Japan recently.
However, I think that it should succeed in Asia so that iPhone may grow up more.

The Copyright Royalty Board on Thursday froze the rate that digital-music stores such as iTunes and RealNetworks’ Rhapsody must pay music publishers.
ITunes seems not to be closed at a while by this decision.
However, this problem will happen in the future.
Would Apple really shutter iTunes?

Would Apple really shutter iTunes? Unlikely(September 30, 2008 CNET)
Fortune magazine published a bombshell of a story on Tuesday by reporting that Apple once threatened to close iTunes if forced to pay more for music royalties. A more careful reading of the statement from an Apple executive shows that it was more of a veiled threat. Regardless, it’s possible Apple could shut down iTunes.
Apple seemed that there is a possibility of closing iTunes if it raises the price of royalty of music.
It is natural that Apple makes remarks like this.
The purpose of the reason why the enterprise is doing the business is to turn out profit.
Therefore, if the profit cannot be obtained, it is natural that there is a possibility of ending the management of iTunes.
How do it become it when it raises the price of the music sold with iTunes?
If it raises the price of the music sold with iTunes, it is possible that the charm to the price is lost, the number of customers decreases, and the quantity sold decreases.
In a word, it is thought that sales of both Apple and the artist decrease by that.
In addition, the profit will decrease in the royalty as for Apple if it raises the price of the music.
Then, the meaning that does this business is lost.

AlleyInsider is reporting that AAPL is down to $110 – 14% – due to stock downgrades by Morgan Stanely and RBC.
I hear that stock prices of Apple fell by 14%.
It might begin to be feared that American citizen with a vigorous buying intention consumes it by financial turmoil.
Hereafter, the consumption of the United States is sure to become duller.
Though it only has not to become world crises.
It might already rushed into world crises when being see from the future.
iPhone Hobbled by High Prices in Japan, Lack of 3G in India

iPhone Hobbled by High Prices in Japan, Lack of 3G in India(September 17, 2008 WIRED)
Apple’s iPhone may be giving competitors a run for their money in North America but when it comes to three of the biggest telecom markets in Asia — Japan, India and China — the company seems to be coming up lame.
The latest sales figures suggest the Jesus phone is struggling to find new converts in Japan. Not far away in India (the second largest telecom market after China) sales of the device are also lackluster thanks to prices that are pushing seven Benjamins for the entry level 8-GB version. And Apple has yet to finalize a deal with Chinese telecom carrier, China Mobile, to bring the iPhone to the People’s Republic.
I think that there are two reasons why iPhone cannot increase sales.
- Too high pricing.
- The function that is attached to the mobile phone of Japan is not provided about iPhone.
I think that the cause that iPhone cannot increase sales is not to localize iPhone for several countries.

IPhone is the topic in Mobile business now.
There is a topicality in iPhone, and sales in all parts of the world seem to be also good.
There are a lot of the topics of the problem at the weakness of the battery and the speed of the 3G network etc recently.
However, sales of iPhone are said six million, and can be said that it is still few compared with a number mobile of the world.
Nokia is a number 1 when seeing in a worldwide mobile market.
A portable career manufacturer in Japan cannot compete.
I think that a mobile career and manufacturer in Japan cannot compete but do not try to compete.
I think that it does a good match if it thinks a portable career of Japan makes carrying in the platform of the world standard with a portable manufacturer and the portable contents manufacturer.
Mobile careers and manufacturers in Japan does good match Nokia if they makes mobile in the platform of the world standard with mobile manufacturers and the mobile contents manufacturers.
It is difficult to expect it because all are stories of assumption.
It seems that a level mobile of Japan is high if mobile of Japan are compared with mobile of the world.
Moreover, mobile contents are sure to have a lot of excellent things in Japan.
However, the mobile of Japan cannot fight against the world because it is not mobile of the world standard that can be used in the world when even the one is so wonderful.
So, a peculiar mobile culture might be made.
As if, only a portable culture of Japan is in the isolated island.
It might be near to close the country.
However, the application business of iPhone is open (However, though it is necessary to receive the inspection of Apple), and the mobile contents manufacturer in Japan also has come round the chance.
And, the mobile world is sure to be globalized further in the future by Android of Google.
Then, the chance comes to mobile contents of Japan more and more.
It might be mobile careers of Japan that becomes a problem.
It is necessary to discuss it like being able promptly to do mobile making of the world standard.
It wishes that the future of mobile business of Japan be bright.

Is The iPhone Coming To China? (August 29, 2008 TechCrunch)
A rumor is circulating that the iPhone may be finally making its way to China. The original source of the rumor is China Communications, which has cited a China Mobile insider as its source. According to the source, China Mobile will be offering the iPhone at a heavily subsidized discount in order to court the massive Chinese population, many of whom would have trouble affording an unsubsidized phone.
To tell the truth, I thought that iPhone had already advanced to China.
Why is the advancement of iPhone to China late?
It might be a difficult thing that makes the business succeeds in China.
But, iPhone Girl has already accomplished the world advancement.
iPhone 3Gs Now Outnumber First Generation iPhones

iPhone 3Gs Now Outnumber First Generation iPhones(August 26, 2008 TechCrunch)
Despite a weak battery and questions about how fast it connects to 3G networks , some time in the next week more than 6 million iPhone 3Gs will be in people’s hands around the world. What that means is that the second generation device has outsold the original iPhone just seven weeks after going on sale.
Recently, there seems to be no good news concerning iPhone as long as news is seen in Japan.
- Problem of weakness of battery
- Problem at network speed
- Increasing sales might fall.
I hear that the number of sales of iPhone3G will already have exceeded sales of first generation iPhones however.
And, it is expected that sales of iPhone will be increased.
Happening next if this iPhone can spread more widely is a big wave of the application business.

Google announces Android Market for phone apps(August 28, 2008 CNET)
Google on Thursday announced Android Market, an online center that will let people find, buy, download, and rate applications and other content for mobile phones equipped with the open-source operating system.
I hear that releasing contents as easily as YouTube in Android Market will become possible according to the article.
Trader registration → Up-loading of contents →Release
I hear that the reason why Google is made naming named Android Market it is that it is thought that the developer should release contents by the more opening under a free environment.
This sounds like the remark to consider iPhone App Store obviously.
I receive the impression whose Android Market is freer than iPhone App Store.
Actually how?
The scramble for an excellent developer might start by Apple and Google.
